Sometimes the way we see something is skewed because of what we anticipate seeing. Other times it’s because we don’t understand what we’re looking at. How can we make sure we see Jesus clearly?

This morning we look at an encounter Jesus had with a Gentile woman and discover some things not only about prioritizing our life, but also how we should see Jesus.

Do the bad things people do come as a result of bad influences, bad environment, bad choices or is there something else at work? Today we examine the true source of every action and thought – the human heart and discover the ways to have it transformed.

Jesus distinguished the difference between being and doing – between heart attitudes and external behaviors. So, where’s your heart and what are you using to gauge it?

The disciples have witnessed miracle after miracle but still don’t understand who Jesus is. Rather than growing in their faith, they remain simply amazed at Jesus.

After Jesus miraculously feed 5000 families, He points out that neither the crowd nor the disciples understood the meaning of the miracle. Today we look beyond the miracle itself to discover its significance so we can understand it more completely.

Up until this point the disciples had been watching and learning from Jesus, running crowd control, and manning the boat. But today, Jesus changes all of that by empowering the disciples with authority to go. So, what can we learn from their experience?

When Jesus went back to His hometown He was all but rejected and dismissed and found Himself unable to do many miracles. The question is, “Why?” Today, we’ll look at a possible explanation and consider what implications it might have for us.

Today’s message reminds us that regardless of how desperate our situation or how impossible it may seem to get out of – it’s never too late for God to work.
